Task
I view a commissioned painting as a very similar project as a custom logo work. The client has thoughts, ideas and wishes, which my job is to visualize. The medium is simply different.
Challenge
Because I am much more used to work digitally, where there is a return button, painting in real life may be nerve wracking.
Solution
My paintings are always planned as much as possible. I make clear compositions and color palettes before I touch the canvas. However when I’m using techniques that includes pouring or splashing liquid paint, the result is not completely in my hands, which is very refreshing.
